A part of the burnt lime is ground to give nekafin 2 or nekasol 10. Coarse comminution of the burnt lime lumps takes place in an impact mill.
The following operation is fine grinding in a roller mill. In this apparatus, mill and air separator form a unit. The fine material is blown from the grinding chamber into the separator where the finished material passes the separator, and the coarser particles fall back into the grinding chamber.
