Blasted out in thousandths of seconds
The Elggis quarry is extracted in a terraced shape. The blasting team proceeds with outermost precision. A set of surveys results in a drilling scheme containing each drilling profile in length, slope, and distance from each other, the calculation of the explosives amount being very exact. Up to 25 meters, the borers intrude into the limestone. A bigger blasting requires twelve bore-holes. Following to the charging of holes safety measures are taken. Then, the signal horns having grown dumb, the quarry is conquered by a few moments of silence - and the charges explode.
